Date Codes
The majority of the SL486's manufactured were sold to TV
manufacturer's. The date codes of most parts reflect this
of the 1980's and 1990's.
We would be interested to hear of the earliest and latest
date codes for this part.

The SL486 had a unique Gyrator which helped the device
perform well even in direct sunlight.
In indoor applications a distance of 25 metres could be
achieved using a IR Handset.
Obsolete Infra Red Pre Amplifier.
We still have stock for this IR Pre Amplifier, while many
3 pin IR Modules perform well with modulted IR, this chip
takes some beating when using IR that is not modulated
onto a carrier.
